Acceptable Use Policy

1. What this policy covers

This policy sets out what you may and may not do with Estimonia — the website, the mobile app, the valuation tool, the directory, the trade dashboard and every paid product. It forms part of our Terms of Service. If you break it, we may remove content, refuse service or close an account.

2. How Estimonia uses AI

Estimonia is an independent service built on third-party AI models. When you upload photos, they are analysed by an AI model to identify the item and estimate a value range. Estimonia does not generate images or video, and it is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by the companies whose models it uses.

AI estimates can be wrong. Every result carries a confidence score and a disclaimer, and nothing Estimonia produces is a certified appraisal or proof of authenticity.

3. What you may upload

Photos of objects you own, are responsible for or have permission to photograph — antiques, collectibles, jewellery, watches, art, coins, furniture and similar items. Please do not upload:

• Sexual, violent, hateful or otherwise offensive content, or anything involving minors other than an ordinary object
• Photos whose main subject is a person, or documents showing someone's personal data (IDs, bank details, medical records)
• Images you do not have the right to use, or that infringe someone else's copyright or trademark
• Malware, or files designed to disrupt or probe our systems

Our system automatically rejects images that are inappropriate or do not show an item, and vehicles and property are outside what we value.

4. What you may not do

• Value, sell or seek buyers for stolen, counterfeit, looted or otherwise illegal goods, or items whose sale is restricted (for example ivory, protected species or weapons) without complying with the law
• Present an Estimonia estimate, report or plan as a certified appraisal, an authentication, or an insurance or probate valuation
• Use estimates to mislead a buyer or seller, including in listings, adverts or negotiations
• Use Estimonia for fraud, money laundering or any other unlawful purpose
• Scrape, copy or resell our data, directory listings or valuations, or use them to train a model
• Use bots or automated tools to run scans, create accounts or submit forms, or try to get around rate limits
• Impersonate an auction house, dealer or any other person, or claim a directory listing that is not yours
• Contact item owners outside the introduction process, or use the trade dashboard in breach of its membership terms
• Attempt to access accounts, systems or data that are not yours

5. Businesses in the directory

Listing, claim and paid placement information must be accurate: your real business name, website, location, specialties and fees. We may edit, unpublish or refuse a listing that is misleading, and remove any business that mistreats sellers who contact it through Estimonia. Paid placement is always labelled.

6. Enforcement

We may remove content, reject scans, suspend or close an account, cancel a listing or membership, and report illegal activity to the authorities. Where we end a paid product because of a breach of this policy, refunds are handled as set out in our Refund Policy and Terms.

7. Reporting a problem

To report misuse, a listing that is not genuine, or content that should not be here, email support@estimonia.com or use the contact form. We review every report.
